THE last time these teams met, the result was a draw, however when Powder Blue got up 15-0 inside the first four minutes this grand final looked like being a blow-out.
The Raiders called time out and a different team came onto the floor.
Shots began to drop and Powder Blue started to turn the ball over as The Raiders stormed back into the contest. They trailed by just two, 25-27 at the half.
In the second half, The Raiders continued to fight, led by Luke Evans and Tim Streat. Every time Powder Blue looked to pull away The Raiders responded.
Paul Johns managed to score a number of times in close, over defensive specialist Corey Collier.
It wasn't until the final three minutes that Powder Blue was able to shake free and establish what would be a match-winning lead, thanks to some fast break points from Brad Henderson, who led all scorers with 28 points.
Powder Blue won 53-44.
