PLANNING submissions are being called for the Creswick Arts Trail Magic Pudding playground.
The new Magic Pudding themed project will replace a playground in Napier St.
The council has allocated $25,000 for the planning stages and more funding is being sought from State and Federal Governments, business and philanthropic trusts.
The playground will be established in partnership with the Creswick Interpretative Centre.
Creswick and District Development Association secretary Margaret Giles said the association wanted as many people to have input as possible.
"Extensive community consultation and involvement is required so that all interested people have the opportunity to contribute ideas and understand the project," Ms Giles said.
A master plan and drawings for the playground based on Norman Lindsay's children's novel The Magic Pudding is now on display at the Creswick Post Office and Library for public comment.
Feedback will be received until June 30.
Ms Giles said the Arts Trail Project group hoped to recruit new members to guide the project.
She said applicants needed to list four of their qualities and skills and outline the level of commitment they could bring to the Arts Trail project.
Applications can be sent to: the Secretary CDDA, PO Box 214, Creswick 3363, before July 11.
