Ms Radi Mansbridge said the cooperative would bring together dozens of local ceramics artists by establishing an an ongoing creative hub.
She said the idea came about a couple of years ago rom ceramics students at the University of Ballarat.
"We're passionate about reviving the handmade and the local," she said.
"I've always liked the idea of cooperatives, especially with ceramics because of the equipment that is involved."
Ms Radi Mansbridge said the practical application of shared facilities, such as studio space, kilns and gallery space, and a nurturing environment would create a stimulating challenge and inspiration in the pursuit of creativity.
"Having that connection with other artists is important," she said.
"Being a studio artist, you can go for five days without seeing anyone."
The Daylesford Region Ceramics Co-operative Ltd will officially launch on Saturday, April 17 from 4-8pm at door three, East St, Daylesford, where membership applications will be available.
