THE Daylesford Wine Show is gearing up for its seventh year.
The show attracts more than 200 entries from the Macedon Ranges and surrounding wine regions including Ballarat, Bendigo, Heathcote and Sunbury.
Judging will be held on November 10 with vignerons vying for prizes from restaurants including Lake House, Farmers Arms, Peppers Springs Retreat, Mercato, Frangos & Frangos and The Grande.
Statewide Irrigation and Baird & McGregor are also sponsors.
Trophies will be presented on Friday, November 14, with an exhibitor/public tasting held on November 15.
Meanwhile, last year's People's Choice award winner Graeme Quigley belatedly received his trophy last week from show president Miranda Jones.
Mr Quigley won the award with his 2005 shiraz _ which has also taken home medals from shows at both Cairns and Federation Square.
``It was our first commercial vintage from the vineyard and is proving very popular,'' he said.
For those keen for a sample, the shiraz is stocked by The Farmers Arms Hotel and Sault.
