DAYLESFORD Secondary College Class of 2011 students are ready to take the next step after receiving their university and TAFE placements last week.
Careers coordinator Bronwyn Barlow said the college had students entering a wide range of courses, which reflected their individual talents and aspirations.
"Eleven are taking up a form of science or engineering - from nutrition and biomedicine to civil engineering," Ms Barlow said.
"The next most popular areas are arts and communication followed by sport-related courses.
"Two of our graduates are taking up teaching courses and another couple will do child-care and aged-care courses."
She said a number of students would also begin apprenticeships, enrol in pre-apprenticeship courses, while one young woman was entering the Navy.
"The University of Ballarat has proved to be the most popular university followed by La Trobe and Melbourne universities. We wish them all a successful and exciting year as they begin the next phase of their career pathways."
