Creswick seniors crack the whip and go west

26 Aug, 2008 12:15 PM
THE sound of country music accompanied the Creswick Senior Citizens last Friday at its monthly get-together.

The senior citizens choir and three special guest cloggers performed in front of club members as part of the club's western day.

New club president Margaret Long was also introduced and 15 members received 20-year service awards, while 15 others received 10-year service awards.

Members also enjoyed a lunch and an opportunity to socialise.

Ms Long said there was a good turn out at the event, which was held once a month with a different theme.

"Everyone enjoyed getting together and listening to the entertainment," she said.

Ms Long said she had been with the senior citizens for two years and was looking forward to her new position.
