The in thing for girls to get out

HOLISTIC health is the theme of a Girls' Night In, which is being held to support women with cancer.

Supported by The Cancer Council Victoria, the event will include healthy food and drinks, vegetarian food, relaxation treatments, meditation sessions and a raffle.

Julieta Weiss, who has breast cancer, said the day was open to women who wanted to catch up over healthy food and pampering.

Figures from The Cancer Council Victoria showed that twice the number of women diagnosed with cancer each year are already undergoing treatment for conditions including breast and gynecological cancers.

Funds raised will go towards research, support servicesand prevention programs.

The event will be held at 8 Malmsbury Rd, Midland Hwy on Tuesday, October 31, from 11am to 6pm. Guests are asked to bring a plate and make a donation that reflects the amount they would usually spend on a day out.
