PUBLIC submissions for the electoral representation review for Hepburn Shire Council are open.

The Victorian Electoral Commission review will consider the number of councillors for the municipality and its electoral structure.

In conducting its review, the VEC will consider a range of information including arguments and evidence in public submissions.

Any person or group may make a written submission to the VEC about the review.

VEC commissioner Steve Tully encouraged people to attend the public information session tonight.

"Anyone interested in the review should attend one of the public information sessions," he said.

A public information session will be held at the Creswick RSL Hall at 6.30pm and the Daylesford Senior Citizens Rooms at 8.30pm.

An information leaflet will be available at central locations. Public submissions close on May 30. The VEC's premliminary report will be released on June 19. For more information call 13 18 32 or go to
