Smash and grab at Retravision

13 Feb, 2007 11:01 AM
POLICE have described the theft of expensive equipment at Daylesford's Jenkin and Thomas Retravision as a "smash and grab".

Police believe the theft of three plasma TVs, digital cameras and ipods at the Vincent St store on Monday at 2am was pre-planned.

The burglary has been recorded on security footage and involved four youths aged between 18 and 20.

They arrived in an early model black Holden commodore with a grey box trailor attached.

The front window was smashed with a sledgehammer before the youths entered the store and left carrying three 106cm plasma TV's.

Two of the youths were recorded going back into the store to take the cameras and ipods.

Senior Constable Corey Firth said the equipment was worth $16,000.

Anyone with information should contact the Daylesford Police on 5348 2342 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
