Show gets a better turnout this year

29 Nov, 2005 02:22 PM
THE 133rd Daylesford Show was blessed with good weather and drew a "happy-go-lucky" crowd at Victoria Park last Saturday.

Daylesford and District Agricultural Society president Ron Barron said the show ran smoothly with crowds flocking to see the animal events including horses, pigeons, sheep, poultry, goats and dogs.

He said there was a better turn-out than last year's show.

"I am pleased with the way everything went," he said.

"It was a happy-go-lucky crowd."

One of the main attractions was the rabbits and photography.

Mr Barron said the good weather contributed to the success of the show.

The dog show also saw a big turnout with about 900 entries.

"The dog show is a great asset to the show," Mr Barron said.

Plans will be under way for next year's show next week.
