POLICE are appealing for the owner of vehicle damaged in Daylesford on News Year's Eve to come forward.
A 30-year-old Daylesford man allegedly damaged two cars in central Daylesford.
The first car was a silver Toyota Prius, damaged between Albert St and Howe St.
A bystander apprehended a man before the driver, believed to be elderly, left the scene.
The man was arrested nearby after allegedly damaging a second car.
Police believe the offender kicked the cars.
He was charged at Ballarat police station and will appear at Ballarat Magistrates Court on February 13.
Sergeant Andrew Guiney said police believed a Daylesford resident owned the Toyota.
"We'd like the owner to contact us. If the is any damage then there is a possibility of restitution where the car can be fixed and the costs be passed on to the offender," Sgt Guiney said.
A 33-year-old Daylesford man was charged with criminal damage after allegedly kicking in a glass sliding door in Vincent St.
The incident happened at Daylesford Commonwealth Bank on New Year's Eve about 5.20pm.
Daylesford police believe a man was angry after his key card became stuck in the bank's automatic teller machine.
He was bailed to appear at Ballarat Magistrates Court on January 23.
A Trentham man was charged with 10 counts of breaching an intervention order earlier this month.
The man, 65, allegedly broke the order after repeatedly telephoning a 43-year-old Daylesford woman.
Sgt Guiney said breaking an intervention order was a serious charge.
"Magistrates introduce interventions orders for a good reason and police take breaches of any intervention orders very seriously."
