HEPBURN Springs woman Jenny Swan is the proudest pet owner in the Hepburn Shire.

Her dog, Nying-du, won the Diva Pooch category of Australia's Next Top Pooch at the opening of My Dog Cafe at Port Melbourne last month.

Ms Swan said the Tibetan spaniel wore a red Hong Kong Fooey jacket, a collector's item available from pet store Puppy Phat in Daylesford.

Ms Swan said competition judges, celebrity Patti Newton, model Jodhi Meares and Andy Lee, and Australia'a Next Top Model Alice Burdeau loved Nying-du's style.

"Nying-du looked gorgeous and smiled and wagged her tail all the way down the runway.

"She looked in her element on the red carpet," she said.

"After winning Patti Newton asked to be introduced to Nying-du and Jodhi Meares and Alice Burdeau were photographed with us," Ms Swan said.

For her troubles, Nying-du won a large hamper of My Dog products and accessories.

"Nying-du can now truly be called a Daylesford Diva," Ms Swan said.
