New principal takes his mark

04 Apr, 2006 12:08 PM
NEW acting principal at Daylesford Primary School, James Robertson, has made a smooth transition to the position.

He transferred from Pleasant St Primary School in Ballarat to Daylesford Primary School, replacing David Broadbent.

Mr Roberston said Pleasant St and Daylesford primary schools were similar in the number of classes and students.

"Students, staff and parents have been very welcoming," Mr Robertson said.

He said the diverse roles needed in the position, from looking after student well-being to managing the budget, made it quite demanding.

Mr Robertson said he was in the process of finding out about upcoming events at the school.

Mr Robertson will be the acting principal this term while the school council chooses a principal.

David Broadbent has been appointed principal at Delacombe Primary School in Ballarat.

A farewell was held for him yesterday.
