THE organisers behind the sellout show Captain Frodo are bringing another night of entertainment to Lyonville.
The Loved Up event will be held on Valentine's Day at the Lyonville Hall and features the talents of the Elsworth Street Ramblers.
Organiser Kareena Hodgson said people could enjoy a glass of wine and a bite to eat while enjoying the Ballarat-based Ramblers.
"The Elsworth Street Ramblers are a seven-piece bluegrass band that pick and sing everything from ol' timey laments to new timey get-downs," she said.
"The Elsworth Street Ramblers combination of guitar, banjo, fiddle, bass, mandolin and sweet country harmony aims to get you slapping your thighs, wiping your eyes and dancing until sunrise.
"Full of homespun sideways gags, patent medicines and stories of hard times on Elsworth Street, the Ramblers take you back to when squares danced and hillbillies were thrillbillies."
Elsworth Street Ramblers performer Mick Trembath said they were a throwback to the old vaudeville shows.
"Our priority is entertainment," he said.
"We do old sketches, a lot of contemporary songs in a bluegrass fashion and also some traditional bluegrass songs."
He said they would bring romance to the hall for Valentine's Day.
"The joke amongst the band is we're all related on some level," he said.
"There'll be a lot of love in the room.
"We're all friends in the band so it's easy for the happiness to rub off."
With only 80 tickets available because of the need for the dance floor, Ms Hodgson encouraged people to get in quick.
"Frodo sold out so quickly and I'd hate you to miss out," she said.
Proceeds from the event will go towards the maintenance of the Lyonville Hall.
Tickets cost $15 with children free and can be purchased from The Radio Springs Hotel or email kareenahodgson@gmail.com
