EMERGENCY services from across the Hepburn Shire had a chance to practise their crisis management last week.
Emergency services including police, State Emergency Service, Country Fire Authority and Rural Ambulance Victoria members joined forces for the hypothetical event at the council chambers on
Thursday.
The exercise was designed to take place in real time and was in the form of a discussion exercise.
The scenario was based on a credible risk for the region.
Hepburn Shire Municipal Emergency Management Planning Committee co-ordinator Senior Sergeant Andrew Guiney said the discussion would help the region cope with an emergency.
"It was a really good opportunity for all emergency services in the area to come together and see how each organisation works," he said.
