the launch of the town's first
gas retailing centre.
Haymarket Gas Retailer,
located in the former Cres

gas appliances and provide
an agency for AGL gas re

customers in Creswick.
Haymarket Gas Retailer
director Greg Taylor said the
centre would connect resi

electricity.
"The sooner people join up
with AGL, the sooner they
will be connected to natural
gas," he said.
State local MP Geoff
Howard welcomed the open
ing of the centre.
"This shows that retailers
are now ready to provide
service for prospective gas
customers in Creswick," he
said.
"This is great news for the
many Creswick residents
who will be connected before
next winter."
Mr Taylor said the centre
would also provide heaters,
barbecues, insulation and
ovens.
An information session
will be held to give residents
the opportunity to get de
tails of the gas rollout.
The session will include a
sausage sizzle in front of the
RSL Hall where representa
tives of energy distributor
SP AusNet and gas retailers
will answer questions.
"The gas is on its way to
Creswick with the first home
connections imminent and
any questions regarding
much anticipated oppor
tunity will be answered on
this community information
day," Mr Howard said.
The sausage sizzle will
start at 4pm and a brief
formal meeting chaired by
Mr Howard will be held at
the RSL Hall at 7pm.
