FIREFIGHTING is no laughing matter, but organisers of Comedy Under the Stars hope to use humour to raise much needed funds for the Glenlyon and Porcupine Ridge CFAs.
Organiser Simon Rogers said he'd just moved to the area and wanted to help out the volunteers of his local CFAs.
"With many years experience doing stand-up comedy I thought it would be more helpful to the CFA to organise a night for them rather than be useless on the back of a fire truck," he said.
Comedy Under the Stars has an impressive line-up, with ex Scared Weird Little Guys' Rusty Berther, ABC Radio presenter Simon Rogers, the Midday Show's Ross Daniels, stand-up comedy legend Andrew Good-One and comedian CJ Fortuna.
Comedy Under the Stars will be held on Saturday, February 18 from 6pm-10pm in The Glenlyon General Store courtyard.
Tickets are limited and cost $20 for show only and $50 for dinner and show.
They can be purchased at the Glenlyon Store, with proceeds going to the CFAs.
