Bloody mess in public toilet investigated

26 Jan, 2010 10:15 AM
THE Ballarat Crime Desk has taken forensic evidence from the female public toilet block next to the Coles supermarket in Daylesford, after a significant amount of blood was found in the toilets last Thursday.

The toilets had also been vandalised.

Senior Constable Bec Constable of Daylesford Police said cleaners discovered the blood at 10.30pm.

"The dividing wall between the two cubicles has been ripped off the wall and the tiles have been smashed," she said.

"The door was ripped off a cubicle.

"A lot of blood was found."

She said police were concerned for the injured person's safety.

She said it was unclear whether foul play was involved, or if a person had injured themselves while causing the damage.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Daylesford Police.
